This policy applies to the Lion Shell Studio website and Sort My Fridge for Android.
1. Scope
Lion Shell Studio (“we”, “us” or “our”) operates lionshellstudio.com and publishes Sort My Fridge for Android (package name: com.amitfrenkel.sortmyfridge). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you visit our website, play the game or contact us.
Sort My Fridge does not require an account. We aim to collect as little personal information as reasonably possible.
2. Information you provide
If you email us for support, send feedback or join a playtest, we receive the information you choose to provide. This may include your name, email address, message, screenshots, device details and diagnostic information you include.
Please do not send sensitive personal information that is not needed for us to answer your request.
3. Game progress and settings
Campaign progress, stars, settings, Daily Puzzle progress and Endless records are stored locally on your device. Lion Shell Studio does not receive this save data.
On first launch, Sort My Fridge asks for a date of birth to select the appropriate advertising privacy treatment. The date is evaluated only on your device and is immediately discarded. The app stores only whether the installation should use the adult or minor/unknown advertising setting.
Your device or app-store platform may back up local app data according to your device settings and that provider’s terms. You can remove local game data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.
4. Advertising in Sort My Fridge
Sort My Fridge may display advertising supplied by Google AdMob. When advertising is enabled, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect information such as your IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), interactions with the app and ads, diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers.
Google may use this information to deliver and measure ads, provide analytics, limit repeated ads, and detect fraud or abuse. Where required, a consent message is shown before personalised advertising is used. You may also manage or reset your advertising identifier through your Android privacy settings.
Users classified as minors, and users who prefer not to provide a date of birth, receive restricted non-personalised advertising requests. These requests are tagged for child-directed and under-age-of-consent treatment, use G-rated ad content, and disable the app’s first-party advertising identifier. Adult users are shown Google’s consent choices where required before advertising requests begin.
5. Analytics and crash reporting in Sort My Fridge
Sort My Fridge uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is used and improve its levels and features. Firebase Analytics automatically processes a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, a masked IP address from which approximate location may be derived, and app-lifecycle information such as app opens, sessions and screen views. We also record gameplay events including levels started and completed, difficulty, stars earned, selected game modes, and chapter completion.
We do not send your entered date of birth, name, email address, a game-account identifier, or your locally saved game file to Firebase Analytics. Advertising-ID collection and ad-personalisation signals are disabled for Firebase Analytics. Google AdMob’s separate advertising data practices are described above.
Sort My Fridge uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and app-not-responding errors and improve game stability. Crash reports may include a stack trace, relevant app state, device model and operating-system information, and a Crashlytics installation identifier. Firebase Installations also processes an identifier for the app installation.
Crash and diagnostic information is sent to Google for this purpose. We do not add your locally saved campaign progress or Daily Puzzle results to Crashlytics reports.
6. Website advertising, hosting and fonts
Our website does not offer user accounts or a contact form. It uses Google AdSense and may display advertising supplied by Google and, where enabled, other authorised advertising partners.
Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, limit repeated ads, detect fraud and, depending on your choices, personalise advertising based on visits to this website or other websites. When a page loads Google advertising code, your browser may send information such as the page URL, IP address, general location derived from the IP address, browser or device details, interactions with ads, and cookie or similar identifiers.
Where required by law, you will be offered consent choices before personalised advertising is used. You can manage personalised Google advertising through Google Ads Settings and control or delete cookies through your browser settings. You may still receive non-personalised ads after opting out of personalised advertising.
The website is hosted by Vercel. When you visit, Vercel may process technical request information such as your IP address, approximate location, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and security or diagnostic logs to deliver, protect and operate the website.
The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to download those files, which means Google receives technical request information such as your IP address and browser details.
7. How we use information
We use information to respond to support requests and feedback, run playtests, maintain and secure our website and games, comply with legal obligations, and improve our products.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for personalised advertising, our legitimate interests in operating and securing our services and responding to users, performance of a contract where relevant, and compliance with legal obligations.
8. When information is shared
We share information only as needed with service providers described in this policy, when required by law, to protect rights, safety or security, or as part of a business transfer. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Lion Shell Studio does not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. Advertising-related sharing with Google is described above.
9. Data Retention
Local game data remains on your device until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it, subject to any backup settings controlled by your device or app-store provider.
Our Google Analytics property retains event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months. Aggregated reports that are no longer associated with an identifiable app instance may be kept for longer. Firebase Crashlytics retains crash reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems.
We generally retain support, feedback and playtest correspondence for up to 24 months after the last interaction, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution or legal compliance. Service providers retain information according to their own policies.
10. International processing
Lion Shell Studio is based in Australia. Our service providers, including Google and Vercel, may process information in Australia, the United States and other countries where they or their service providers operate. Privacy protections in those countries may differ from those where you live.
Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.
11. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children’s privacy
Sort My Fridge is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Because the game may be played by teenagers, the neutral age screen applies restricted advertising treatment to users under 18 and to users whose age is unknown. The entered birth date is not retained or transmitted by Lion Shell Studio.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent personal information to us, email hello@lionshellstudio.com. We will investigate and delete it where appropriate.
13. Your rights and complaints
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or receive a portable copy. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy regulator.
To make a request or privacy complaint, email hello@lionshellstudio.com. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. If you are in Australia and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
14. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our games, services or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be explained on this website or in the game where appropriate.
